Installer App FAQs

How do I set up the aGate network connection via the FranklinWH app?

For homeowners:

1. Sign-in to the user account.

2. Click Menu button in the top left.

3. Click "More".

4. Click "Network Settings".

5. Choose desired network interface (Eth2, Wifi and 4G) and configure accordingly (beware, if you change a setting that will result in the FHP losing internet connectivity you will have to make further adjustments via the aGate Hotspot).

What does the “Backup left” in the FranklinWH app mean?

The “Backup left” time shown is a calculated length of time, based on current consumption, that can be sustained by the FHP solely through its remaining battery power in backup mode (grid is down and solar is not running).

What if the app prompts “Grid Outage”?

This prompt means that FHP has taken the home off grid due to an issue. Check whether the grid power supply is working normally (also check if there are outages with the utility). If there is no utility outage, contact your installer and have them confirm what voltage the aGate is detecting.

What if the app prompts “Grid restored”?

This prompt means that FHP has reconnected to the grid. If there are certain system operations that require grid connection, they will resume at this time.

What if you cannot connect to your FHP via the app or if your mobile app prompts “FHP offline”?

Please check whether your aGate communications network is working properly:

· If your aGate is connected to network via ethernet cable, please check the condition of the cable.

· If your aGate is connected to network via Wifi, please check your network status.

· If 4G communication is used, please check the network conditions at your aGate installation site. If the networking performance is not satisfactory, please contact your installer.

If an inspection finds that the aGate network is working normally, the problem may be because the server is in the process of upgrading. Please wait a moment and re-check if the app connection to your FHP has been re-established or if the app no longer prompts “FHP offline”.

If you are trying to find more information about a fault/alert code you are seeing on the app, never hesitate to email or give us a call. (let's link to an error code doc in the future)
